    Born: May 27, 1972 in Devils Lake, N.D.
    High School: Graduated from Starkweather (N.D.) High School, 1990.
    College: Graduated from UND-Lake Region in Devils Lake, 1992; Graduated from Meyer School of Broadcasting in Minot, 1993.

    Dix began his radio broadcasting career in 1992 in Minot while attending college. From Minot, he went to Beulah, N.D., before moving to Hettinger to join KNDC in May 1996. Dix has remained at the Hettinger station ever since. In the 2023-24 winter season, he broadcast his 3,500th game. In addition to game coverage, Dix has done a weekly coaches' show during the school year during his stay at Hettinger. He was named NDAPSSA sportscaster fo the year in 2001 and won the North Dakota Broadcasters Association best play-by-play award in 2006. In addition to broadcasting sports, Dix has been active as a coach. He has been an assistant high school girls basketball coach at Hettinger as well as coaching baseball at the youth, American Legion and high school levels. Two of his Legion teams have been state B tournament qualifiers.
